Margaritaville in Niagara Falls

ve you ever wondered what it would be like to visit every Margaritaville in Canada in just one day? Well, that's exactly what our family, accompanied by our trusty camera, set out to do. We embarked on a journey to experience the tropical vibes and laid-back atmosphere of Margaritaville. Let's join us on our exciting expedition and see if we were able to accomplish our goal.

A Day of Margaritaville Exploration

Canada may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of Margaritaville, but did you know that there's actually one Margaritaville location in the country? Located in Niagara Falls, this Margaritaville is the ultimate destination for anyone seeking a taste of paradise.

We wasted no time and hit the road early in the morning, my two daughters and I. Our first stop was Hamilton, where we decided to indulge in some mouth-watering donuts at Granddad's Donuts. With flavors like blueberry fritters and a tempting array of pastries, it was the perfect way to kick-start our Margaritaville adventure.
Continuing our journey, we stumbled upon a charming little town called Grimby.

Here, we couldn't resist the temptation of visiting a local bakery known as the Little Dutch Bakery. We left with a bag of chocolate sprinkles to sprinkle on buttered bread, a delightful Dutch treat.

We decided to take the scenic route, opting for side streets instead of the highway.

We discovered hidden gems along the way, including a thrift store that beckoned us to stop and explore. We found all sorts of treasures and even scored a Christmas sweater for just $7.

Back on the road, we passed by farms, giraffes, and churches, enjoying the picturesque views. We crossed a magnificent bridge over the Wellington and finally arrived at our destination – Margaritaville in Niagara Falls.

The Search for Margaritaville

Excitement filled the air as we stepped out of our car and began our search for Margaritaville. We asked fellow tourists, locals, and even a seagull in hopes of finding the elusive tropical paradise.
After a pleasant walk along the Niagara River, we realized that Margaritaville was nowhere to be found. Disappointed but undeterred, we decided to make the most of our visit to Niagara Falls.

Margaritaville – A Mixed Experience

Finally, we arrived at Margaritaville and were greeted by the lively atmosphere of the restaurant. We found a spot in the boat section and marveled at the pirate, the blender blending margaritas, and the gorgeous mermaid.

We decided to try out the food and ordered a variety of dishes. However, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The food was lackluster, with burgers that seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long, dry rice that resembled ketchup rice, and cold fries.

We couldn't help but express our disappointment, filming a review in our car immediately after leaving Margaritaville. We concluded that the food was not worth the price, and we would not recommend it to others.

A Lesson Learned

Despite the less-than-stellar dining experience, we remained positive and vowed to explore other dining options in the future. As we headed back home, crossing the Burlington Bridge, we reflected on our adventure and eagerly awaited our next escapade.

Whether you're a fan of Jimmy Buffett or simply crave a taste of the tropics, visiting Margaritaville in Canada may not be the best choice for a culinary experience. However, the journey itself was filled with excitement, unexpected discoveries, and the joy of exploring new places.

So, next time you find yourself in Niagara Falls, skip the food at Margaritaville and instead enjoy the breathtaking views of the falls, take a walk along the Niagara River, and indulge in some delightful treats from local bakeries. After all, it's the journey that truly matters.
